January 2021 - present

Multi-media journalist, producing video content for Europe and Africa, translating copy between FR-EN, live video reporter, features articles and videos, reporting on German-language conferences, creating YouTube content.

TRAINEE JOURNALIST AT NEWS ASSOCIATES

NCTJ diploma in multi-media journalism. Completing courses in media law, ethics, shorthand and news reporting as well as practical assignments and work placements.

EDITORIAL ASSISTANT AT SLEEK MAGAZINE

April - July 2019

I wrote daily news and features articles on a wide range of arts, culture and fashion topics. I also conducted research tasks, interviews and transcriptions, managed social media platforms, sent weekly newsletters and created weekly audience insights presentations.

JUNIOR EDITORIAL MANAGER AT LAUTSPRECHER TEUFEL, BERLIN

September 2017 - December 2018

My role involved translating product sites and internal documents from German to English, as well as creating weekly customer newsletters, sending press releases and communicating with media contacts, and creating regular content for social media sites and the blog. I also created and maintained a Google AdWords account for France, writing adverts in French and monitoring keywords and other parameters. During my time as content manager, I gained skills in SEO optimisation, CMS, audience insights and KPIs, social media management and brand marketing.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE ASSISTANT AT DON STATE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY, ROSTOV-ON-DON, RUSSIA

September 2016 - June 2017

I conducted lectures and seminars with both students and teachers of various levels of English. Lesson planning required creativity and organisation, and I built upon my presentation and communication skills every day. I highly enjoyed the task not only of teaching my students, but also of motivating them and engaging them with their studies through various methodological approaches and discussion-based lessons.

WRITER AND EDITOR AT CTR, BERLIN

July 2016

I worked on a travel writing project over the course of a month in Berlin, compiling a tourist guide book for young people in the city. I gained experience both in terms of practical journalism, writing reviews and articles about various sites in the city, and also as an editor. I greatly improved my writing skills as well as time management and project management, having to work towards several deadlines and make decisions together as a team regarding layout, structure and project focus.

SPORTS CO-PRODUCER AT GLASGOW UNIVERSITY STUDENT TELEVISION

I produced videos about a range of campus sports topics. From conceptualising an idea for a project, to directing and filming it, turning an idea into a visual image, and then to editing the final programme, the process required high levels of organisation, creativity and communication.

PRESS ASSISTANT AT BLUEPRINT MEDIA, GLASGOW

I provided support to the account manager by distributing and following-up press releases, attending briefing meetings and becoming familiar with clients' PR strategies, working on social media campaigns and securing media awareness and publication of articles concerning client companies.
