NEWS REPORTING

I currently work as a freelance journalist at Bauer News Scotland, reporting on local, national and international news stories for regional radio stations. As a bulletin editor, I write scripts, conduct interviews for radio and read bulletins in a fast-paced newsroom.

I previously completed my NCTJ diploma in multi-media journalism at News Associates London. The course included modules in media law, ethics, digital journalism and news reporting as well as practical assignments. I achieved my shorthand qualification at 100 wpm.

I have written news articles for South West Londoner, KCW Today, Sunday Times and MyLondon. I have also written articles for AFP news agency which have been used by global outlets.

ALTERNATIVE ART SPACES: RE-IMAGINING THE WHITE BOX

What do a skip, a crypt, a train platform and a drag king’s head have in common?
In a wonderfully subversive expression of creativity beyond the confines of traditional spaces, they are all examples of alternative art galleries.

Woman Typing

I covered the general election 2019 for South West Londoner. This involved attending a vote count and interviewing candidates, writing multiple articles, editing copy, uploading online coverage via Wordpress, and working on InDesign to produce a special e-edition the following day. I worked through the night to produce high-quality breaking news reports and analysis. Producing the news edition required a great level of team work, focus, and self-motivation.
